Customer Delivery Engineers (CDEs) at Loft Orbital own the end-to-end deployment and execution of customer satellite missions. You will serve as the primary technical interface to customers, translating mission objectives into operational reality from early requirements and ConOps development through commissioning, on-orbit operations, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will operate real spacecraft and work directly with customers to build mission applications on top of Loft's API and operational infrastructure. You will translate mission objectives into executable workflows, configurations, and tooling that ensure reliable, scalable on-orbit execution. The position sits at the intersection of satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end customer satellite mission deployment and execution
- Serving as primary technical liaison between Loft and customers
- Developing mission requirements and ConOps (Concept of Operations)
- Overseeing spacecraft commissioning and on-orbit operations
- Building and maintaining mission applications using Loft's infrastructure
- Creating workflows, configurations, and tooling for mission execution
- Ensuring reliability and scalability of operational systems
- Driving continuous improvement across mission lifecycle
This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep engagement with both spacecraft systems and customer needs, combining systems thinking with practical operational execution.
