Alpaca is a US-headquartered global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure serving hundreds of financial institutions across 40 countries. The company provides institutional-grade APIs for stocks, ETFs, options, crypto, and fixed income trading, supporting over 10 million brokerage accounts. Backed by $400 million in funding from top-tier investors including Spark Capital and Y Combinator, Alpaca operates a globally distributed team of 400+ professionals. As Custody Manager, you will oversee the safekeeping, settlement, and administration of client securities assets, ensuring the safety and integrity of billions of Saudi Riyals in customer holdings within Saudi Arabia's capital markets. You will manage the end-to-end custody lifecycle for Alpaca's brokerage and Trading API customers, encompassing asset safekeeping, trade settlement, corporate actions processing, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities include owning daily custody operations workflows including trade settlement (T+2), asset transfers, and position reconciliation across Saudi-listed equities, Sukuk, and fixed-income instruments. You will serve as the primary point of contact with the Securities Depository Center (Edaa), the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul), custodian banks, and clearing entities. You will design and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk while supporting business growth in alignment with Capital Market Authority (CMA) requirements. Additional duties include leading corporate actions processing (dividends, rights issues, stock splits, mergers), collaborating with engineering and product teams to automate custody workflows, ensuring compliance with CMA regulations and client asset segregation requirements, liaising with regulatory bodies during audits and inspections, and managing, mentoring, and developing a team of custody operations professionals. This role requires deep securities operations expertise within the Saudi or GCC market, strong process-building capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
