Datadog is the leading observability and security platform for cloud-scale applications, providing unified visibility across the technology stack. The Sales Enablement team is part of the GTM Enablement organization, responsible for empowering Go-To-Market teams to drive growth. As Director of Sales Enablement for EMEA, you will lead a talented team of Field Enablement Managers who design and deliver training that powers Datadog's global Sales and Customer Success organizations. You'll partner with leaders across Curriculum & Strategy, Business Value, Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to create programs that drive measurable business impact. This is a visionary leadership role that goes beyond traditional training delivery. You'll transform the team from facilitators into data-driven business partners and coaches who proactively identify GTM knowledge and performance gaps, then deliver targeted enablement solutions. You'll embed with go-to-market teams across the EMEA region to develop deep understanding of regional selling dynamics and challenges. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and building a high-performing team of sales and customer success trainers - Executing ongoing field training through sales kick-offs, quarterly business reviews, classroom sessions, e-learnings, and other formats - Spearheading the team's transition to data-driven business partners and coaches - Developing clear understanding of regional selling realities and embedding with GTM teams - Partnering with subject matter experts and Curriculum & Strategy to design engaging training and measure business impact - Creating one-to-one and one-to-few coaching programs for critical sales and leadership skills - Serving as the voice of the field, representing sales and CS perspectives to cross-functional teams Requirements: - 8+ years of work experience, including at least 4 years in sales enablement, L&D, or equivalent experience teaching others - 3+ years of experience managing direct reports in highly complex and ambiguous environments - Demonstrated experience leading classroom-style instruction and curriculum development - Strong listening skills, high emotional intelligence, and intrinsic drive to help people grow - Strong aptitude for tying enablement programs to business impact - Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable programs - Agile mindset with ability to iterate and improve - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - Experience presenting to and planning summits for hundreds of people Bonus qualifications: - Background as a seller or customer-facing representative - Experience as a sales coach or enablement business partner - Experience at high-growth SaaS or technology companies - Knowledge of DevOps or cloud technologies - Experience teaching or using MEDDICC - Experience building programs at Datadog's scale or greater - Advanced degree in teaching or education
