Lumi, a leading Australian fintech small business lender, is seeking a Credit Policy & Assurance Manager to lead a team responsible for quality assurance and credit policy governance. This role sits at the intersection of credit risk management and policy oversight, ensuring lending decisions comply with guidelines and standards while staying ahead of regulatory developments. Key responsibilities include: - Leading a team to conduct structured quality reviews of lending decisions, identifying trends, policy breaches, and process gaps - Owning and maintaining credit risk policy, underwriting guidelines, and product policy end-to-end - Running periodic policy review cycles to keep documentation current and audit-ready - Investigating and quantifying the impact of policy changes using data analysis - Resolving underwriting queries and translating practical learnings into policy updates - Partnering with product and credit teams on new policies as products evolve - Tracking regulatory and responsible-lending developments and translating them into actionable policy updates - Serving as a key point of contact for internal and external audit on quality and policy governance - Coaching and developing team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement Lumi has funded over $1.5 billion since 2018, supporting 15,000+ small businesses. REQUIREMENTS: - Strong experience in credit risk, credit assessment, quality assurance, or credit policy within a bank or non-bank lender - Demonstrated experience in a people leadership or mentoring role, or clear readiness to step into a first-time leadership position - Demonstrated experience owning or contributing to credit policy, underwriting guidelines, or product policy documentation - Experience engaging with internal or external audit, compliance, or regulatory stakeholders - Excel and data querying skills with ability to investigate and interpret policy change impacts - Business lending experience is desirable
