Glean is seeking a Cost Operations Lead to drive end-to-end oversight of cloud and AI/LLM cost efficiency initiatives. The role involves maintaining a prioritized portfolio of cost initiatives, setting priorities, driving operating cadence, unblocking owners, and ensuring savings are realized.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive cloud and AI/LLM efficiency across the platform, which delivers AI at enterprise scale across a provider-neutral stack with multiple efficiency initiatives running in parallel (token yield, compute right-sizing, LLM Gateway quotas, provider commitments).
- Own a single source of truth for all cost initiatives and drive them to measurable efficiency and margin gains.
- Pressure-test savings claims by verifying realized vs. projected savings post-launch and preventing silent cost regressions from eroding prior wins.
- Build cost-attribution discipline with per-service, per-team, per-customer, and per-feature tagging and allocation so every dollar has an owner.
- Oversee LLM spend across providers, including procurement and commitment sizing.
- Govern internal AI tooling spend with per-user visibility, quotas, and value assessment.
- Build the observability and automation layer by treating cost like production telemetry: real-time cost attribution, anomaly detection, alerting, and automated triage.
- Automate the toil through cost-triage agents, regression detection, and self-serve attribution so the program scales.
