As a Conversion Analyst, you will manage the critical process of transferring retirement plan assets between recordkeepers. Your primary responsibilities include partnering with Conversion Document Specialists to verify the completeness and accuracy of incoming plan documentation, processing and reconciling plan assets from multiple recordkeeping platforms, and making informed decisions about asset investment timing to ensure efficient participant fund conversions.
You will set up and validate participant loans during conversions, ensuring accurate terms and proper documentation. Serving as a subject matter expert on incoming plan source types, you'll ensure proper system setup and configuration. Your role demands strong cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex conversion issues while maintaining a customer-centric approach. You'll monitor communication channels to identify emerging trends, proactively support internal partners, and continuously identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Key daily activities include data reconciliation across multiple platforms, participant loan processing, asset investment decisions, documentation verification, and cross-team problem-solving. You'll leverage advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex data analysis) to manage large datasets and identify discrepancies others might miss.
You bring 1-3 years of direct experience with plan conversions in retirement services, strong reconciliation and data parsing skills, and working knowledge of 401(k) investment processes including trading windows and settlement periods. You demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, advanced Excel proficiency, excellent written communication, and a passion for process improvement. Your strong work ethic, organizational skills, and collaborative team-player attitude are essential.
