Veeva Systems, a mission-driven public benefit corporation and pioneer in industry cloud, is seeking a Consultant - Safety to join the Professional Services team in Tokyo. The role focuses on implementing Veeva's Development Cloud, particularly Safety Applications, to help life sciences organizations eliminate silos and transform business processes across clinical, regulatory, and quality functions with greater efficiency and compliance.
You will lead life science customers through rapid configuration and implementation of Veeva's Vault Development Cloud to support data and content management needs in the Safety domain. Key responsibilities include managing implementation lifecycles with focus on workshop delivery, requirements gathering, configuration, validation, migration, integration, training, and go-live activities. You'll collaborate with customers and team members to ensure successful implementations from inception through adoption, aligning processes to system design and functionality. Working alongside project managers, you'll coordinate communication, risks, and project reporting between project teams, customers, and internal stakeholders. Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Strategy, Sales, and other teams is essential to ensure customer success throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Required qualifications include experience in the Life Sciences space with knowledge of document and data collection and storage systems. You must have experience delivering to customers in the Pharmacovigilance domain or daily operations using safety systems. The ability to act with speed, understand requirements, create solutions, and willingly "roll up your sleeves" to design and implement Veeva Vault solutions is critical. Fluency in both Japanese and English at business level is mandatory, with ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Nice-to-have qualifications include exposure to business and IT groups in implementation or administration roles, direct experience with systems such as Oracle Argus, ArisG, Siebel, Veeva Vault, NextDocs, Documentum, or SharePoint, a degree in Life Science or Computer Science, SaaS/Cloud experience with systems validation knowledge, and experience in services delivery management or systems implementation and project management.
