Verse Medical is a Series C healthtech company (backed by General Catalyst, SignalFire, Sapphire Ventures) building modern software infrastructure to connect providers, payors, and patients for coordinated outpatient care. The Compliance Operations Associate role is a hybrid of administrative and hands-on facility work, reporting to the compliance leadership team. Key responsibilities include: maintaining compliance trackers, calendars, and checklists for licenses, certifications, permits, renewals, training completions, and audit action items; proactively monitoring deadlines; organizing and maintaining audit-ready documentation systems; supporting internal and external audits by gathering materials and coordinating schedules; drafting and updating SOPs and job aids; preparing compliance status reports for leadership; and tracking training/certification completion across teams. The role also serves as the on-site point of contact during third-party audits and regulatory inspections. This includes coordinating visit logistics, accompanying auditors through facility walk-throughs, answering questions, facilitating documentation access, taking detailed notes on findings, conducting pre-visit internal walk-throughs to identify issues proactively, compiling post-visit summaries, tracking corrective actions, and building relationships with internal teams to maintain consistent audit readiness. The associate escalates urgent or high-risk findings to compliance leadership. Additionally, the role provides cross-functional support by fielding basic compliance questions from staff, supporting policy rollouts and training logistics, and assisting with special projects such as new regulatory requirement implementations and policy revisions. Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years of compliance, quality assurance, operations, or audit support experience, ideally in healthcare or regulated industries. Required skills include strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and office tools, and comfort working both independently at a desk and in person on the facility floor. A professional presence when representing Verse to external auditors is essential, as is a proactive, follow-through mindset to close open items.
