Adyen is seeking a Compliance Officer for its Growth Programs team to drive cross-functional execution enabling new products, markets, payment methods, and network programs to launch compliantly and at scale. This role sits at the intersection of Payments Compliance, Product, Engineering, Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, and Operations.
You will lead end-to-end program execution for growth initiatives, from problem definition through launch and post-launch optimization. Key responsibilities include partnering with Product and Engineering to define business requirements and control needs; working with Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, and Risk teams to align on launch readiness; identifying gaps between business ambition and operational reality; developing program plans and governance routines; escalating blockers with clear recommendations; designing repeatable frameworks for evaluating merchant use cases; coordinating testing and launch reviews; building documentation and playbooks; and tracking metrics to ensure programs deliver business value.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical program management, product operations, payments, fintech, risk, compliance, or similar cross-functional roles. Strong understanding of payments infrastructure, payment methods, network rules, and merchant payment flows is essential. You should have demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder initiatives, excellent organizational and communication skills, comfort in ambiguous fast-paced environments, and ability to influence without direct authority. Experience with merchant onboarding, payment methods, scheme rules, or financial partner programs is a plus. Fluency in English and Japanese is required.
