Graphcore, a leading AI compute infrastructure company and member of the SoftBank Group, is seeking a Compliance Manager to define, implement, and scale security and compliance frameworks across its global lab environments. This role focuses on securing sensitive hardware, enforcing access controls, and ensuring engineering data and infrastructure meet required compliance standards. You will establish robust processes around lab zoning, asset tracking, and network segmentation while partnering with engineering teams across multiple international locations, including Graphcore's new AI Engineering Campus in Austin. Working as part of a cross-functional security and infrastructure team, you will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, IT, and security stakeholders to embed compliance controls into lab environments and operational workflows. Key responsibilities include: defining and implementing physical access controls and lab zoning; securing sensitive hardware within lab environments; enforcing network division and permission management across mixed infrastructure; coordinating hardware asset monitoring, inventory oversight, and chain-of-custody activities; supporting secure lab bring-up and infrastructure deployment; implementing and scaling compliance controls across global engineering labs; partnering with engineering departments on secure handling of engineering data; supervising compliance with internal security policies and external standards; and contributing to the development of secure infrastructure practices within AI and hardware environments. Essential qualifications include hands-on experience implementing physical access control and lab zoning; experience working in labs, data centers, or hardware engineering environments; practical experience with network segmentation and access control; experience running hardware asset tracking, inventory, and custody; experience in secure infrastructure or lab bring-up environments; and strong understanding of operational security controls in technical environments. Desirable qualifications include exposure to export-controlled environments; experience in AI, HPC, semiconductor, or hardware validation labs; familiarity with BMC/out-of-band networks and rack-level infrastructure; and solid understanding of ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST frameworks with practical application experience.
