Coast is modernizing B2B card payments infrastructure for commercial fleets and drivers. We're building a cutting-edge spend management platform to replace decades-old incumbent technologies with modern digital experiences and transparent financial services. You'll join our compliance team as a Compliance Analyst, working hands-on with BSA/AML/OFAC program operations. This is a high-visibility role where you'll investigate transaction alerts, spot suspicious patterns, and help shape compliance processes from the ground up at a fast-moving fintech. You'll work directly with senior compliance leadership, giving you influence well beyond a typical analyst position. Key responsibilities include: • Monitor and investigate suspicious activity: conduct account and transaction-level reviews to identify unusual patterns, review system-generated alerts, and support drafting of Unusual Activity Reports (UARs). • Support sanctions and AML program: apply OFAC screening and BSA/AML controls to daily case work, identify and label patterns of unusual activity, track developments in regulatory guidance, monitor KRIs/KPIs, respond to audit and regulatory requests, and use SQL to spot system vulnerabilities. • Testing and oversight: conduct quality assurance testing of underwriting, credit decisioning, adverse action notices, and account practices for ECOA, SCRA, and FCRA adherence. • Compliance support: assist with risk assessments, internal audits, process documentation for new compliance areas, and respond to compliance questions from product, engineering, sales, and support teams. • Cross-functional partnership: work with Legal, Risk, and Product to keep policies and controls current, and support senior team members on key initiatives. Success in year one means independently managing a caseload of BSA/AML/OFAC alerts through UAR filing, becoming the go-to point of contact for day-to-day operations, identifying and closing meaningful gaps in monitoring coverage, building trusted relationships with partner banks, bringing AI tools into your workflow to speed investigations, and contributing analysis that shapes compliance leadership decisions. Requirements: • 2+ years of experience in a BSA/AML/OFAC compliance role, ideally at a fintech or closely regulated industry • AI-native mindset: already using AI tools in daily work and excited to push further • Experience with transaction monitoring or alerts screening systems, and comfort writing SQL queries against large datasets • Strong analytical instincts: comfortable pulling metrics, spotting trends, and translating data into operational decisions • Excellent written and verbal communication • Bias toward action and process-building; comfortable in ambiguity and able to build structure where none exists • Experience in fintech, payments, B2B SaaS, or financial services preferred • Based in Salt Lake City or New York City; able to be in-office 3–4 days per week
