Coast is building modern B2B card payment infrastructure for commercial fleets and drivers, replacing decades-old incumbent technologies with a cutting-edge spend management platform. You'll join the compliance team as a hands-on Compliance Analyst responsible for building and running Coast's BSA/AML/OFAC program. This is an early-stage role with significant ownership: you'll help define processes from the ground up, not just execute existing playbooks. You'll work directly with senior compliance leadership, giving you visibility and influence well beyond a typical analyst position. Key responsibilities include: **Monitoring & Investigation**: Conduct account and transaction-level reviews to identify unusual patterns. Review system-generated alerts and support drafting of Unusual Activity Reports (UARs). Independently manage a caseload of BSA/AML/OFAC alerts from initial review through filing. **Program Support**: Apply OFAC screening and BSA/AML controls to daily case work. Identify and label patterns of unusual activity, including reporting to financial partners. Track developments in BSA, AML, and OFAC enforcement and flag implications for Coast's practices. Monitor KRIs/KPIs measuring AML program health. Respond to audit, partner bank, and regulatory requests. Use SQL and internal/external data sources to spot system vulnerabilities and compliance gaps. **Testing & Oversight**: Conduct quality assurance testing of underwriting and credit decisioning processes, adverse action notices, and account practices for ECOA, SCRA, and FCRA adherence. Collaborate with process owners to build corrective action plans where gaps are identified. **Cross-functional Work**: Support additional compliance initiatives and emerging regulatory requirements. Assist with ad hoc risk assessments and internal audits. Help build processes and documentation for new compliance areas. Respond to compliance questions from product, engineering, sales, and customer support teams. Work cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, and Product to keep policies and controls current. Success in your first year means independently managing your caseload, becoming the go-to point of contact for day-to-day BSA/AML/OFAC operations, identifying and closing at least one meaningful gap in monitoring coverage, building trusted relationships with your partner bank, bringing AI tools into your workflow to measurably speed up investigations, and contributing analysis that shapes real decisions by compliance leadership. **Requirements**: - 2+ years of experience in a BSA/AML/OFAC compliance role, ideally at a fintech or other closely regulated industry - AI-native mindset: already using AI tools in daily work and excited to push further - Experience with transaction monitoring or alerts screening systems - Comfort writing SQL queries against large datasets - Strong analytical instincts; comfortable pulling metrics, spotting trends, and translating data into operational decisions - Excellent written and verbal communication - Bias toward action and process-building; don't wait for someone to hand you a playbook - Comfortable in ambiguity; can build structure where none exists without losing momentum - Experience in fintech, payments, B2B SaaS, or financial services preferred - Based in Salt Lake City or New York City; able to be in-office 3–4 days per week
