The Commissions Analyst role is integral to the Sales Operations team, responsible for developing and implementing commission plans and ensuring accurate, timely monthly commission calculations for employees worldwide. This position manages the CaptivateIQ commissions platform and works closely with Sales leadership on quota planning and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly commission calculations for global employees, including distribution of statements and resolution of commission disputes
- Complete account reassignments within the CRM for new employees
- Manage and maintain the CaptivateIQ commissions software platform
- Create and draft commission plans for new employees and future planning cycles
- Assist in annual commission planning exercises, estimating quotas by region and role to drive revenue
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement Lead to create Rules of Engagement aligned with commission plans
- Work with Sales VPs to review rep performance periodically and create performance KPIs to evaluate team success
The ideal candidate brings experience calculating commissions for large employee populations, developing commission plan templates, and implementing or using commissions software. A strong understanding of SaaS commission models and fresh thinking on plan structure and evolution are valued.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience, preferably in the technology industry
- Experience with Salesforce and commission software such as CaptivateIQ
- Proficiency with Excel reporting and analysis
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, with comfort working directly with Sales leadership and handling sensitive compensation conversations
- Ability to work independently with a hands-on style and willingness to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment
