Deliveroo is seeking a Commercial Operations Analyst based in Milan to support the execution of commercial strategy for the New Verticals business in Italy. This is an individual-contributor role combining analytical skills with a practical, structured approach to bring clarity to complex topics and work effectively across multiple stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include building reporting and analyses to monitor business performance, identify gaps and opportunities, and provide insights to guide business decisions. You will translate commercial priorities into structured plans and performance frameworks that support execution, and develop tools, processes, and data routines enabling commercial teams to operate effectively and consistently. Additionally, you will coordinate the operational delivery of cross-functional initiatives, tracking execution, budgets, and business impact.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills and confidence working with large datasets. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency is essential, while SQL and business-intelligence tools are advantageous. Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) for data transformation, automation, and insight extraction is valued. You should have a background in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, consulting, or a similarly analytical and execution-focused role, combined with strong commercial judgment and understanding of growth drivers and unit economics.
You must be able to translate complex data into clear dashboards, actionable insights, and compelling presentations for both operational teams and senior stakeholders. A hands-on, detail-oriented approach combined with the ability to understand broader business questions, prioritize high-impact work, and operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment is essential. Fluency in both Italian and English is required.
