Trexo Robotics is a medical device company building powered wearable robots to enable mobility for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy. The company's first product allows children to walk, often for the first time, and is currently used by hundreds of families and leading hospitals across North America. Trexo is expanding into the UK market and seeking a Clinical Specialist to serve as a key point of contact for families, clinicians, and healthcare partners.
In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you will lead onboarding and training for new families and clinical partners receiving Trexo devices. You will provide ongoing clinical and technical support through regular check-ins, helping customers use the device effectively and work toward meaningful rehabilitation goals. A significant portion of your work involves conducting hands-on device trials at roadshows, conferences, and community events across the UK and occasionally in Europe.
You will independently set up, adjust, and troubleshoot the Trexo device, including basic technical, mechanical, and software checks. You will address customer queries via dedicated chat groups, manage support tickets, and work with families and clinicians to establish goals and monitor progress. You will gather customer feedback to inform product improvements and work closely with global Customer Success and Sales teams to ensure consistent customer experience. You will also represent Trexo at clinical events, conferences, and community-based activities.
The role involves approximately 75% travel, primarily across the UK with occasional European travel. Occasional weekend work may be required for customer trials and events, with reasonable notice provided where possible. This is a hands-on role suited for a clinician passionate about pediatric rehabilitation, technology, and making a meaningful difference for children and families.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, clinical practice, medical devices, mobility technology, or closely related field
- Clinical experience at a level broadly equivalent to NHS Band 6, or equivalent experience in private/independent practice or clinical specialist role within medical device or healthcare industry
- Experience working with children with complex mobility needs, neurological conditions, physical disabilities, or rehabilitation needs
- Tech-savvy with confidence to independently set up, adjust, and troubleshoot technical equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent empathy and patience
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 75% across UK and occasional European travel)
- Ability to safely lift and handle equipment weighing up to 27 kg (60 lb)
- Valid UK driving licence
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in medical device startup, healthtech, medtech, or early-stage company
- Qualification as Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration (or eligible to practice as UK-licensed PT)
- Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) membership
- Experience providing virtual care, telehealth, or remote clinical support
- Familiarity with UK pediatric funding pathways (NHS Continuing Healthcare, Personal Health Budgets, EHCPs, charitable funding)
- Fluency in additional European language (German or French preferred)
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce or Airtable
