As a Clinical Research Associate II, you will monitor and own the progress of clinical studies at investigative sites across Belgium and the Netherlands. Your responsibilities include ensuring that clinical studies are conducted, recorded, and reported in accordance with protocol, SOPs, ICH-GCP guidelines, and all applicable regulations and standards. You will coordinate all necessary activities required to set up and monitor studies, including identifying investigators, preparing regulatory submissions, conducting pre-study and initiation visits, and managing ongoing site monitoring.
You will work with a lower-than-average number of protocols, allowing you to become a true protocol expert. The role requires 50-60% domestic travel within Belgium and the Netherlands, including overnight stays. You will have direct line management support and your input will be valued in a smaller, collaborative CRO environment.
Required qualifications include a life science degree and/or equivalent experience, plus at least 2 years of CRA experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical/biotech setting. You must be fluent in English and Dutch, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience managing oncology studies and study startup activities is preferred. French fluency is a plus. The ideal candidate is calm, detail-oriented, proactive in identifying and mitigating study risks, and skilled at conflict resolution.
