You will serve as the Clinical Coordinator for Stepful's new Radiologic Technology A.A.S. program leading to ARRT (R) certification eligibility. In this role, you will build the clinical education component from the ground up, working directly with employer partners who sponsor student education. You'll establish clinical site networks, ensure clinical rotations align with classroom learning, and oversee all aspects of clinical training delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
**Clinical Curriculum & Site Network:** Correlate clinical and didactic education by aligning classroom learning with clinical rotations, sequence clinical objectives, and formally evaluate correlation each term. Build and qualify the clinical site network by conducting pre-placement evaluations of prospective partner facilities, securing accreditor recognition, maintaining clinical affiliation agreements, and designating clinical preceptors.
**Placement, Supervision & Safety:** Run clinical placement and scheduling to ensure equitable access to procedures, maintain 1:1 student-to-clinical-staff ratios, cap clinical involvement at ten hours per day, and orient students to each site. Enforce supervision and radiation safety protocols, distribute radiation exposure reports within thirty days, and complete MRI safety screening.
**Preceptor & Student Development:** Onboard and train clinical preceptors on clinical objectives and competency evaluation, keep them current on program policies, and serve as their day-to-day contact. Monitor student competency progression and clinical hours, provide documented advisement, and build remediation plans as needed.
**Accreditation, Teaching & Travel:** Contribute clinical evidence to accreditation reports and site visit preparation. Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction, with opportunity to teach clinical courses for the first cohort. Maintain professional currency through continuing professional development. Travel to partner sites for evaluations, preceptor development, clinical visits, and accreditation visits—estimated up to once monthly in 2026, scaling to 50% travel starting 2027. All travel expenses are reimbursed.
You will report to the Imagine Programs Lead and work alongside the Program Director, who owns overall program operations and accreditation. Per accreditation requirements, the Clinical Coordinator is a distinct role from the Program Director and is not identified as a clinical preceptor at any clinical setting.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA
- Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification
- Current Texas GMRT certificate from the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology
- Minimum two years' clinical experience in radiography
- Minimum one year's experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising
- Working knowledge of JRCERT Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography and ABHES clinical experience requirements (or willingness to learn)
- Reliable access to a major airport and availability to travel to Texas
**Bonus Experience:**
- Prior clinical coordinator or clinical instructor experience in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program
- Experience managing clinical education across multiple sites or health systems
