Connecteam is the leading platform for managing deskless teams, trusted by over 80,000 businesses worldwide. The company has raised $220M+ from Insight Partners, Stripes, and Tiger Global and is rapidly expanding globally.
As Client Onboarding Manager, you will guide new customers through the implementation of Connecteam, from initial handoff through successful payroll launch. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role combining project management, system configuration, payroll-process understanding, customer training, and cross-functional coordination.
You will own the customer onboarding process by managing a book of business of partnership-sourced customers from internal handoff through go-live and initial payroll stabilization. You'll build implementation plans around first clock-in dates, payroll periods, training requirements, and payroll-processing deadlines. You'll lead kickoff, setup, training, and client payroll processes while maintaining clear timelines, responsibilities, next steps, and risks throughout each project.
Key responsibilities include leading discovery and solution design by understanding customer workflows, translating business requirements into practical Connecteam setups, and identifying complex requirements. You'll configure integrations by setting up Connecteam account settings and managing integrations. You'll deliver training to clients and managers on the Connecteam platform and integration processes, adapting training plans to customer size, structure, and complexity.
You'll troubleshoot issues across the full workflow, determine issue ownership, escalate payroll-impacting risks with clear documentation, and maintain accurate account records and handoff documentation. You'll work closely with assigned partner Implementation Managers and coordinate across customers, partners, Sales, Support, Product, Integrations, and leadership.
Required experience includes 2+ years in implementation, onboarding, or customer-facing SaaS roles with SMB and Mid-Market clients. You need strong project management skills to manage multiple customer implementations simultaneously, excellent communication and presentation abilities to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences, and tech-savviness to quickly learn software, troubleshoot issues, and understand integrations and data flows. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
