Reserv is an insurtech company founded by insurance veterans and backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures. The company builds AI and automation technology to modernize claims handling for third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance technology providers, and adjusters.
As Claims Team Lead for the Rainbow team, you will lead a dedicated group handling the full spectrum of Restaurant & Hospitality claims, segmented internally by Fast Track, Moderate, and Severity/MCU tiers. Unlike a single-tier structure, your adjusters each specialize in one segment, requiring you to be conversant across all three to coach effectively, cover gaps, and maintain clean handoffs between tiers.
You remain hands-on: when a claim needs to escalate, when a new hire needs backup, or when volume shifts unexpectedly, you are in the file—not just reviewing it after the fact. You lead and coach the Rainbow team across its three adjuster specializations, own consistency of escalation triggers (dollar thresholds, litigation status, catastrophic injury criteria), and monitor per-tier caseload targets (~87–88 claims per adjuster). You coordinate onboarding and go-live timing for new hires, including phased inventory transfers. You serve as backup for the Manager and subject-matter expert for first-line escalations and roundtable discussions. You prepare and present Rainbow-specific claims reports and metrics to the Manager and clients, and step in on claims handling directly, including reviewing moderate and severity file strategy.

Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment and cannot be based in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of insurance claims experience in commercial general liability claims, with exposure across multiple severity tiers
- Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license
- 2+ years of leadership experience, with preference for remote management experience
- Comfortable evolving claims systems and processes to support a segmented, multi-tier team
- Increased reserve and payment authority, with ability to assist with moderate-tier review
- Track record in high-exposure commercial general liability claims across a range of industries and loss types
- Strong leadership with litigation management experience to review defense strategy and reserve positioning
- Tech-oriented and excited about using analytics to separate genuine hygiene issues from disposition gaps
- Curious and detail-oriented; comfortable with phone communications throughout the claims process
- Anti-status quo mindset; proactive about addressing inventory drift
