Qover is a leading insurtech scale-up that has raised $70 million and operates a platform protecting millions of users across 32 European countries. The company works with top brands including Revolut, Mastercard, BMW, Canyon, and Monzo to orchestrate digital embedded insurance experiences.
The Claims Officer will manage and process insurance claims from initial notification through settlement. Key responsibilities include handling First Notification of Loss and partner validation processes, investigating claims to determine validity, assessing coverage against policy conditions, managing written and phone correspondence, calculating settlements and processing payments, and maintaining accurate records of all claims and outcomes. The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve the claims process and implementing new processes and technologies.
This is a hybrid position based in Brussels with up to three days remote per week and the ability to work from anywhere for one month per year. The role offers 28 days of annual leave (8 extra days beyond the 20 legal minimum), a dedicated workspace at WeWork on Rue du Commerce with team event facilities, and a collaborative company culture emphasizing teamwork, initiative, and social engagement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 to 5 years of experience in claims handling in an insurance company, MGA, broker, or third-party administrator
- Fluent English; additional European languages a plus
- Working knowledge of Google applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slack) and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to multitask and prioritize varied workloads
- Tech affinity preferred
- Ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong initiative-taking and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, open-minded, curious, and flexible with a "can-do" mentality
