Reserv is a venture-backed insurtech (funded by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures) building AI and automation technology to modernize claims processing. Founded in 2022 by insurtech veterans, the company is focused on automating manual tasks and setting new standards for third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance technology providers, and adjusters.
As Claims Manager - Auto Property Damage, you will manage multiple teams of adjusters handling different lines of business, with a focus on auto claims with bodily injury exposure. You will drive operational effectiveness by leveraging technology and analytics to improve efficiency and performance while maintaining high quality standards and compliance with regulatory and contractual SLAs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing multiple adjuster teams across different lines of business
- Implementing and maintaining best practices for claims handling (intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, recovery)
- Monitoring and analyzing claims data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities
- Ensuring accuracy and adequacy of claim reserving across your portfolio
- Developing strategies to mitigate fraudulent claims and ensure regulatory compliance
- Serving as an escalation resource for complex claims
- Collaborating with internal teams (Account Management, Compliance, Claim Operations) on complex issues
- Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders (policyholders, agents, brokers, legal representatives)
- Preparing comprehensive claims reports, metrics, and analysis for clients
- Executing performance management: recruiting, hiring, retaining, and training high-performing teams
- Fostering a positive, empathetic work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development
You are a growth-oriented leader with deep technical expertise in commercial transportation and auto claims, including coverage and litigation knowledge. You are tech-oriented and excited about building a technology-driven claims organization. You exercise empathy and patience, maintain a sense of urgency, challenge assumptions, and are comfortable with phone-based communication throughout the claims process. You are curious, detail-oriented, and able to balance deep-dive analysis with big-picture thinking.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, business administration, or related field (relevant certifications such as CPCU or AIC are a plus)
- 10+ years of insurance claims management experience across multiple lines of business, with preference for auto with bodily injury experience
- 5+ years of management experience, with preference for remote management experience
- Comfortable with technology and ability to evolve claims systems and processes to drive efficiencies
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong integrity, ethics, and accountability in handling confidential and sensitive information
