As a Claims Handler, you will manage a diverse portfolio of third-party motor claims from first notification through settlement, including personal injury exposure. You'll make liability decisions, negotiate with third parties and legal representatives, and drive fast, fair, data-driven outcomes. The role is based in Brighton with a hybrid model (minimum one day per week in office).
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end claims management covering damage and personal injury elements
- Sound liability decision-making with a commercial mindset
- Effective negotiation with insurers, third parties, and legal representatives
- Leveraging digital-first approaches and technology to streamline workflows
- Collaborating with product, data, and operations teams to identify trends and improve claims performance
- Using data insights to enhance customer experience and reduce friction
You should have proven motor claims handling experience, including personal injury exposure, with strong technical claims judgment. The ideal candidate is a confident decision-maker and negotiator comfortable in fast-paced environments, data-oriented, solutions-focused, and passionate about both customer outcomes and commercial performance. Experience in cross-functional, scaling environments is valued. The role reports to the Claims Team Leader within a collaborative team of claims professionals.
