Pie Insurance is seeking a Claims Business Systems Analyst to configure, build, and maintain the company's core claims platform (Origami) and its integrated technology ecosystem. This hands-on role executes configuration and build tickets from the Claims technology backlog, working under the functional direction of the Staff Technical Program Manager.
Key responsibilities include system configuration and customization of the Origami claims platform, creating and maintaining end-user dashboards, mail merge templates, and state forms. The analyst will test configured integrations with third-party solutions including medical bill review, pharmacy benefit management, payment processing, fraud detection, and digital mailroom systems. Security management duties include configuring roles, profiles, sharing rules, permission sets, and license assignments. The role also involves maintaining vendor directories for 1099 accuracy and constructing solutions to business problems using platform functionality including reports, dashboards, and workflow automation.
Testing and quality assurance responsibilities include developing test scripts and test data based on UAT plans, executing test scenarios for system enhancements and feature deployments, documenting test results and defects, and supporting UAT sessions. The analyst serves as a first-line troubleshooter for claims system issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes or escalating appropriately. System maintenance includes monitoring performance, identifying recurring issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring proper documentation of configurations and customizations.
The role collaborates with Enterprise Technology, external vendors, and the Claims L&D Specialist to ensure delivered solutions are technically sound and ready for end-user adoption. The analyst supports reporting needs by building and maintaining system-level reports, collaborates with the Claims Data Analysis & Reporting team on data accuracy, and works with Compliance & EDI specialists on state electronic reporting and CMS Section 111 reporting requirements.
