As a Claims Advocate, you will manage a portfolio of new claims while developing expertise in identifying third-party negligence early in the claims process. Your core responsibilities include conducting thorough investigations to identify liable third parties, assessing liability based on initial loss reports, and ensuring accurate liability determination from day one. You will interpret complex policy language, analyze loss reports, and collaborate with adjusters and site experts to build a solid investigative foundation for every claim.
Key responsibilities include:
- Investigating and assessing liability to identify third-party negligence
- Initiating, documenting, and managing general liability cases from identification through final resolution
- Negotiating settlements and processing denials in accordance with policy terms
- Establishing the precise financial and legal merit of losses
- Collaborating with claims adjusters, legal partners, and vendors to determine coverage and ensure proper claim practices
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation per best practice claim handling and legal requirements
- Reviewing and interpreting policy language to align with company policies and relevant legal requirements
- Engaging and coordinating with external vendors, specialists, attorneys, and investigators as needed
You will work in a fast-paced commercial environment, developing the investigative rigor needed to thrive in claims management. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess claims and make coverage determinations accurately.
