San Francisco Compute is a GPU infrastructure company that operates supercomputers and leases them to customers on flexible terms, including subleasing rights. Unlike traditional cloud providers that force long-term contracts, SFC enables customers to manage compute risk dynamically through a hybrid model combining cloud operations with marketplace mechanics and physical settlement.
The Chief of Staff to the CEO will serve as a trusted operational partner and force multiplier, working directly with the CEO on the company's highest-impact priorities and strategic decisions. This role combines operations, execution, and cross-functional coordination to drive the company's growth and shape its future.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the CEO to execute company goals and vision
- Identifying organizational bottlenecks and ambiguous problems, structuring them into actionable plans, and driving resolution with appropriate owners
- Translating key decisions, analysis, and recommendations into clear actions the leadership team can execute quickly by aligning stakeholders and following through on commitments
- Building deep understanding of the business, market, financing, and deal dynamics to engage in strategic discussions and tradeoffs
- Representing the CEO in select internal and external conversations with customers, partners, and stakeholders
The company has assembled a team with senior and technical leadership from Lambda, Crusoe, Digital Ocean, AWS, and Hut8. The CTO is the cofounder and former CEO of Voltage Park. The team has collectively deployed 8GW of datacenter capacity and hundreds of thousands of GPUs.
This is a hybrid role requiring up to five days per week in-person presence in the San Francisco office.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong technical fluency and ability to engage with Engineering, GTM, and Product leaders on complex topics (AI/ML, infrastructure, architecture)
- Experience operating in high-growth, P0-to-1 environments where priorities evolve quickly
- High-agency operator who takes ownership, works through ambiguity, and closes loops without needing direction
- Trusted, discreet, and low ego, with strong judgment around sensitive information and relationships
- Strong communicator who can create alignment internally and represent the company externally when needed
