Neko Health is building a preventative healthcare platform that delivers personalized health insights through non-invasive clinical testing. This role is a two-phase position: first, you'll lead the setup and validation of Neko's on-site clinical laboratory in Miami, then transition into running it as the technical owner and people leader. In the first 6–12 months, you'll take the lab from empty space to full CLIA/CMS/Florida-compliant patient testing. This includes completing full instrument and assay validation on Abbott Alinity platforms (accuracy, precision, reportable range, reference intervals), establishing SOPs and workflows, maintaining inspection-readiness, and managing the transition to stable day-to-day operations. You'll lead the Laboratory Technologist team through 1:1s, performance feedback, and technical coaching, serving as the on-site escalation point for any technical, operational, or quality issue. You're a builder who thrives in both setup and steady-state operations. Validation is second nature to you—you understand why every parameter matters and can defend documentation to inspectors. You operate inspection-ready by default, not as a project. When issues arise, you troubleshoot rigorously, decide clearly, and communicate honestly. You take team development seriously, treating problems as coaching moments and building people who could eventually do your job. Minimum qualifications: 5+ years in high-complexity clinical laboratory environments, Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science or related field, active Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license with specialty in clinical chemistry, immunology, and hematology, hands-on experience with automated chemistry and immunoassay platforms, and demonstrated experience with laboratory validation, quality systems, and CLIA requirements. Preferred: MLS (ASCP) certification, direct Abbott Alinity/ARCHITECT experience, prior lab setup/validation/go-live ownership, day-to-day operations oversight, and LIS familiarity (Epic/Cerner).
