Pennylane is a French fintech and one of Europe's most dynamic accounting and financial management platforms. The company has raised €400M from top-tier investors including Sequoia and now serves over 900,000 SMEs and 6,000 accounting firms across Europe. With 1,000+ employees across 25 countries and a 4.9/5 Glassdoor rating, Pennylane is expanding rapidly with a genuinely flexible remote culture.
You will join the Partner Solutions Specialists team—composed entirely of former accountants—as a PSS Front (Functional Project Manager). You are the expert interface between Pennylane and accounting firms during migration projects, working in tandem with a PSS Back (technical architect) who handles integration and technical aspects. You own the client-facing delivery: scoping, reassurance, and momentum.
Your core responsibilities include:
**Needs Analysis & Audit**: Plan and facilitate migration kickoffs, briefings, and retrospectives with accounting firms. Analyze functional requirements from field feedback and prior migrations. Document user stories and conduct workshops/webinars on business processes and cross-functional topics.
**Migration Project Management**: Ensure migrations follow clear, documented paths for all stakeholders. Adapt methodology while respecting existing processes. Communicate alignment between technical solutions and business needs. Act as the relay to the PSS Back team on integration, debugging, and validation.
**Configuration & Testing**: Contribute to Pennylane configuration to match firms' existing processes. Participate in functional testing to validate solutions meet requirements before go-live.
**Post-Migration Support**: Collaborate on debugging and problem resolution post-launch. Conduct intermediate and final functional tests. Contribute to post-migration reports and improvement recommendations.
**Process Optimization**: Identify and prioritize automation and optimization opportunities. Implement via documentation, feedback, and concrete proposals. Track satisfaction post-deployment.
**Continuous Improvement**: Monitor product and accounting trends. Propose enhancements, flag gaps or issues. Transform needs into actionable solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
**Front/Back Collaboration**: Understand PSS Back priorities and intervene on production as needed.
You bring accounting training (IUT GEA, BTS CGO, DCG, DSCG, or Master CCA), hands-on experience in an accounting firm (ideally with prior migrations), strong oral and written communication, genuine client service orientation, autonomy and teamwork, continuous learning mindset, and minimum A2 English. Nice-to-haves: startup comfort, B1+ English, synthesis and teaching skills, proactivity.
