Salary: USD 250,000 - 350,000 / annual

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to trade on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. The platform traded $21B in 2025 and is growing rapidly as an alternative news source. Polymarket is registering a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) entity to support its derivatives business. You will serve as the senior finance leader for this FCM, reporting to the FCM CEO and working closely with the governing body and Audit Committee. This is a hands-on role where you will define how the finance function operates from the ground up. Key responsibilities include: - Calculate and monitor adjusted net capital, risk-based capital requirements, regulatory haircuts, early-warning thresholds, and internal management buffers daily - Own daily segregation and residual-interest computations, funds-on-deposit tracking, and undermargined customer reporting to ensure CFTC compliance - Prepare and file monthly Form 1-FR-FCM reports via WinJammer, coordinate annual FCM audits, and serve as primary finance contact for NFA and DSRO examinations - Manage the FCM's standalone monthly close, financial statements, accounting judgments, intercompany balances, and balance-sheet substantiation - Report regularly to FCM CEO and Audit Committee on financial condition, capital adequacy, liquidity, customer-funds protection, and emerging risks - Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and broader Polymarket finance team on entity-level matters - Build and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls for examination readiness Requirements: - 10+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or regulatory reporting experience with meaningful hands-on time inside a carrying FCM - Direct experience preparing or reviewing daily segregation computations, residual-interest calculations, and monthly Form 1-FR-FCM filings - Working knowledge of CFTC financial requirements under Parts 1, 22, and 30, NFA financial requirements, and WinJammer filing system - Experience managing or supporting NFA and DSRO examinations and annual FCM audits, including responding to examiner inquiries - Ability to own full monthly close and produce standalone financial statements for a regulated entity with intercompany reconciliation - Clear communication with senior leadership and governing bodies on capital, liquidity, and customer-funds topics - Preferred: Prior title as FCM Controller, Head of Regulatory Reporting, Regulatory Capital Director, Deputy CFO, or equivalent at a carrying FCM - Preferred: Experience standing up finance function for new FCM or supporting FCM registration and readiness process
