In this Category Manager role, you will drive hyper-growth and P&L profitability for the Home category by executing data-driven commercial strategies. You'll establish a centralized category intelligence system by consolidating and analyzing reports/dashboards in SQL, Databricks, and Looker, including elasticity models, demand forecasts, and anomaly detection to measure GMV, conversion, and take rate against business objectives. Key responsibilities include optimizing category pricing, catalog mix, and promotional performance through data-driven adjustments informed by elasticity and competitive benchmarking. You'll co-design campaign measurement logic with Marketing, analyze partner inventory dynamics to prevent stockouts, and protect GMV. You'll also drive cross-functional strategy execution by delivering comprehensive market and competitive analytics to support KAM/Sales teams in merchant negotiations, aligning category goals across Sales, Marketing, and Product, and translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE): - 5–7 years of experience in business analytics, analytical category management, or revenue/pricing strategy within e-commerce, retail, or marketplace ecosystems - Ability to convert complex data into concrete, actionable business strategy decisions rather than static reporting - Strong commercial instinct to identify category levers that drive top-line growth and unit economics - Intermediate-to-advanced SQL proficiency (CTEs, multi-table joins, window functions) to build custom datasets and validate reporting logic independently - Advanced user capability across modern BI and data platform tools (Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Looker) - Hands-on analytical modeling expertise including price elasticity, demand forecasting, cohort analysis, and A/B test evaluation - Direct exposure to commercial category dynamics (pricing models, supplier/seller negotiations, promotional campaigns), preferably in Home, White Goods, or related categories - Understanding of Key Account Management (KAM) mechanics and merchant economics to build data packages that strengthen sales negotiations - Ability to evaluate supplier inventory cycles and partner dynamics to protect revenue and maintain catalog health - Proven capability in executive communication and data storytelling—synthesizing complex analyses into concise, intuitive recommendations for non-technical leadership - High clarity in written and verbal communication, adapting complex concepts for diverse internal stakeholders PREFERRED: - Solid expertise in market intelligence and consumer behavior analysis - Ability to monitor industry shifts, competitor moves (e.g., Mercado Libre, Falabella), and regional market trends to identify untapped catalog opportunities - Experience analyzing customer buying behavior and purchasing patterns to optimize product positioning and promotional timing in high-growth markets
