sennder (Everoad) is Europe's leading digital freight forwarder, modernizing road logistics through technology and automation. We're seeking a Carrier & Account Transport Operations professional to join our Lyon office on a full-time, in-office basis. In this role, you will be the bridge between our customers and carrier network, managing day-to-day logistics operations and building strategic carrier relationships. Your responsibilities include: • Develop and negotiate contractual relationships with carriers, managing both committed and spot-market transportation commitments • Conduct outbound calls to carriers to assess availability, negotiate rates, and secure capacity for customer loads • Apply trucks to loads efficiently, ensuring customer requirements are met on both committed and ad-hoc shipments • Provide real-time status updates to stakeholders, identify operational issues, and implement solutions collaboratively • Research and onboard new carriers, generating leads and building relationships to expand our carrier network • Identify backup carriers for critical shipments and manage contingency planning • Monitor market trends and seasonality to inform supply chain strategy • Make truck offers to capacity teams across the sennder branch network • Support customer go-to-market strategy through effective supply chain solutions • Manage personal development and align with branch strategy and vision You'll work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your decisions directly impact how freight moves across Europe. The role requires strong commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive under deadline pressure while maintaining quality. We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 3+ years in road freight operations, and proven experience as a freight forwarder. You must have excellent English communication skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to persuade, negotiate, and influence carriers and internal stakeholders. A proactive, problem-solving approach and comfort working independently and in teams are essential.
