Netflix's Open Connect Infrastructure Capacity Planning team is seeking a Capacity Planner (L6) to drive strategic infrastructure planning and optimization. This is a high-impact individual contributor role at the intersection of business strategy and technical implementation, responsible for ensuring Netflix's owned infrastructure capacity meets evolving product demands while maximizing efficiency and scalability.
Key responsibilities include: developing long-range infrastructure capacity strategies (5+ years forward) that inform financial planning and network design; translating demand signals (bandwidth, storage, network capacity) into actionable short and long-term forecasts; conducting what-if analyses and hypothesis testing to assess capacity impacts and trade-offs; orchestrating timely implementation and allocation of infrastructure augments across deployment teams; and collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, finance, engineers, and partnership teams to support scaling strategies for new product launches, especially Studio Infrastructure initiatives.
You will also develop requirements for modeling and automation tools, continuously enhancing workflows and processes to maximize analytical impact; manage risks by evaluating trade-offs and providing objective recommendations to leadership; and drive data-driven analyses focused on optimizing efficiency, spend, and architectural direction while ensuring platform scalability and resilience.
The ideal candidate is deeply analytical with strong quantitative and statistical expertise, capable of leveraging massive datasets and scenario-based modeling. You combine analytical rigor with sharp product intuition, excellent communication skills, and the ability to distill complex concepts for diverse audiences. You work independently and effectively in dynamic environments, thrive in cross-functional collaboration, and excel at coordinating initiatives across engineering, product, finance, and business teams. Forward-thinking, action-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity, you balance strategic thinking with pragmatic problem-solving.
