Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Calibration Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team at Arsenal-1, its hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ashville, Ohio. This role is central to building and optimizing Anduril's internal calibration program, which ensures the precision and accuracy of equipment used in autonomous systems and weapons manufacturing. You will drive improvements across calibration activities for calibrated devices, working cross-functionally with product development, production, and field operations teams. Key responsibilities include analyzing and enhancing core calibration processes, defining project milestones and execution plans, and developing a strategic in-house calibration roadmap to optimize the balance between external vendor services and internal capabilities. You will manage the calibration database, ensuring accurate tracking of equipment location, ownership, and maintenance schedules. You'll improve infrastructure for equipment requiring calibration—including drop locations, intake standardization, and vendor communication—while supporting the creation and upkeep of calibration procedures and training materials. Additionally, you will conduct spot audits for compliance, manage training for internal stakeholders, and support global site readiness reviews for internal and external audits. The role requires hands-on engagement with engineering, production teams, and external vendors. You will evaluate and implement new technologies and methods to improve calibration efficiency, ensure equipment rotations do not disrupt production, and maintain consistency in calibration plans and performance metrics. Required qualifications include an Associate's degree in Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field, plus demonstrated experience managing calibration programs in large organizations and production environments. You must have experience working with and managing third-party calibration vendors, familiarity with automated calibration tools and software, and a track record of improving processes and procedures with emphasis on process creation.
