Salary: USD 85,000 - 112,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join its rapidly growing Maritime team in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. The company is a defense technology firm focused on transforming military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems, AI, and sensor fusion technology. The Maritime division specializes in next-generation Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for seabed exploration, operating at full ocean depth with ultra-long-range capabilities.
In this role, you will manage the end-to-end procurement process for a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for creating and managing purchase orders to meet production and program needs, maintaining supplier relationships, and resolving supply chain disruptions to keep projects on track. Key responsibilities include monitoring order expediting to meet deadlines, collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams, and maintaining accurate procurement records and KPIs.
You will support the development and implementation of sourcing strategy for direct commodities, document and report on supplier performance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost savings, quality, and on-time delivery. The role also involves managing the full supplier lifecycle from selection and adoption through ongoing management and exit.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of technical procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, excellent documentation and communication skills, strong organizational and time-management abilities, and proficiency in negotiation and relationship management. You should have a good understanding of design specifications, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.
