Salary: USD 77,000 - 106,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Buyer for Maritime to join its Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for managing the procurement process and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives while working closely with engineering, finance, and manufacturing teams.
Key responsibilities include creating and managing purchase orders to meet production and program needs; maintaining day-to-day relationships with suppliers while monitoring performance on quality, delivery, and pricing; quickly resolving supply chain disruptions and quality issues to keep projects on track; monitoring and expediting orders to meet deadlines and production schedules; collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to align procurement with company goals; maintaining accurate records and tracking procurement KPIs to identify process improvements; supporting the development and implementation of sourcing strategy for direct commodities and categories; documenting and reporting supplier performance; supporting continuous improvement initiatives for cost savings and on-time delivery; and managing the supplier lifecycle from selection through adoption, induction, ongoing management, and exit.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technical procurement experience in a manufacturing environment with excellent documentation and communication skills. Required competencies include strong organizational and time-management abilities, excellent negotiation skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, good understanding of design specifications, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, and meticulous attention to detail.
