Base Power is rebuilding America's electricity infrastructure by deploying distributed battery networks to transform the centralized grid into a resilient, abundant system. The company is seeking a Buyer for Indirect Procurement to manage the flow of indirect goods and services across the organization.
In this role, you will be the primary intake point for procurement requests, creating and managing purchase orders while ensuring they reflect the latest negotiated pricing and contracts. You'll prioritize requests by business impact, validate PO accuracy before issuance, and serve as a key stakeholder throughout the procurement lifecycle. Your responsibilities include monitoring open orders, expediting critical shipments, proactively resolving supplier issues, and building strong supplier relationships while holding them accountable for performance.
You'll partner with Global Sourcing Managers to execute sourcing strategy, coordinate with Receiving and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies, and help implement Base's new Ramp Procurement platform to build scalable workflows. The role requires high ownership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.

You should bring proven success in high-volume, transaction-intensive environments (procurement, purchasing, operations, finance, or customer service), sound judgment, customer focus, and analytical problem-solving skills. Procurement systems experience (Ramp or similar) is a plus. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
