Salary: USD 60,000 - 90,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies (formerly Astrobotic Technology) is an innovative space, defense, and national security technology company developing mission-critical solutions for space exploration and national security. The Buyer II role is part of the Supply Chain team based in Pittsburgh, PA, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place and manage purchase orders and subcontracts for both direct contract and indirect company-support acquisitions
- Monitor and expedite open purchase orders according to project requirements and timelines
- Manage purchase order data in MRP/ERP systems to ensure accurate and complete information
- Conduct negotiations with management support to secure favorable terms, pricing, and schedules with suppliers
- Ensure program requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet project needs
- Proactively communicate supplier performance risks to internal customers
- Support resolution of discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, accounts payable invoices, and supplier payments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or related field with 5+ years of supply chain experience, OR 9+ years of purchasing field experience without a degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate complex ideas and persuade stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with procurement management and ERP systems
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace/DOD industry
- Experience complying with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and NASA procurement requirements
Travel: Up to 10% within the United States, including possible overnight stays.
