Salary: USD 83,700 - 115,100 / annual
Archer Technologies, headquartered in Silicon Valley, is a leader in advanced air mobility building an end-to-end platform delivering air taxis, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), and aviation-related AI solutions for commercial aerospace and defense sectors.
You will join the procurement team as a Buyer supporting rapid prototype development and production of aircraft material. Working embedded with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams, you will translate urgent material needs into purchase orders within minutes to hours, ensuring timely and cost-effective material availability that supports aggressive production schedules and first-flight milestones.
Key responsibilities include:
- Place and manage purchase orders for aircraft material and supporting goods/services using SAP MRP and manufacturing build schedules
- Own accuracy and timely closure of all open purchase orders, driving cycle time from requisition to PO issuance in hours, not days
- Execute non-PO purchasing (P-Card, emergency orders) for time-critical items in accordance with Finance protocols
- Physically and digitally inventory received parts and proactively notify part owners of availability
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships to drive on-time deliveries and mitigate supply chain risk
- Support pre-SIOP activities including projections vs. actuals and PPV reporting, partnering with Finance to ensure proper coding and budget alignment
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies to ensure timely supplier payments
- Source aircraft material as needed
- Manage daily order volumes that fluctuate with engineering and assembly demand
- Infrequent travel may be required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or similar business discipline
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment supporting early-stage aircraft development
- Experience with SAP ERP or equivalent MRP/procurement system
- Comfortable working onsite and embedded with engineering and manufacturing teams to support urgent, time-sensitive purchasing needs
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and strong team player
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Effective, proactive communicator who can drive approvals and follow-ups across multiple stakeholders
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace and/or automotive industry
- APICS certification
- Experience supporting rapid prototyping, first-article builds, or low-rate initial production programs
