CesiumAstro is seeking a Business Systems Analyst I to join their operations team in Westminster, CO. The company develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will drive process improvement across new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing, and supply chain operations for CesiumAstro's electronic assemblies serving the satellite and aerospace markets. You will serve as a primary process improvement resource, working closely with engineering, program management, and supply chain teams to industrialize processes that balance space-grade rigor with commercial-scale manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting stakeholder interviews and research to understand current processes and identify gaps
- Performing analyses (SQL queries and other methods) to identify issues and opportunities with actionable recommendations
- Creating process documentation and process maps
- Identifying process breakdowns and recommending efficiency improvements
- Training internal users, external technical teams, and leaders on dashboard, API, and tool usage
- Ensuring redesigned processes minimize inefficiencies for all stakeholders
- Leveraging technology and automation to improve processes
- Improving data capture for future use cases by collaborating with software development teams
Your work will directly impact the company's success as it scales manufacturing for high-reliability, high-volume satellites in a rapidly growing commercial space market.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 0–2 years of applicable experience
- Experience with change management, EIA-649, nonconformance documentation, root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and acceptance criteria
- Experience with cost analysis, supplier management, and configuration management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Aerospace or other high-reliability industry experience
- Proficiency with PLM and ERP software
- Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 quality management system requirements
- Lean manufacturing methodology experience
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks
- Strong collaboration and partnership skills in matrixed, cross-functional environments
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards
- Knowledge of business structure and stakeholder analysis
