Kaseya is seeking a Business Process Lead for Order to Cash to own the end-to-end design of business processes spanning order acceptance through cash collection and revenue recognition. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role that serves as the connective tissue between business stakeholders and technology teams, with direct accountability for process capability decomposition and financial control responsibilities.
The role owns business capabilities in the order-to-cash value stream—their definition, design, decomposition, and governance—in close partnership with business teams that operate underlying functions day-to-day. Success depends on heavy partnership with business and technology leads rather than direct authority. The person hired will personally facilitate working sessions, map processes, write requirements, and stay engaged through delivery and adoption. The role sits within a newly created function whose operating model and standards are still being defined, giving the hire real influence over how the broader practice takes shape.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and continuously maintain detailed (L2/L3) decomposition of order and subscription management, software provisioning and fulfillment, usage consumption and rating, billing and invoicing, invoice-to-cash, and revenue recognition capabilities, using standards shared across the Business Process Lead team.
- Facilitate structured working sessions with business stakeholders to document current processes and design future-state processes, producing process maps, documented decisions, and requirements technical teams can act on.
- Translate future-state process designs into system requirements, partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads through design, build, and testing, and confirm delivery reflects intended design.
- Support two parallel delivery tracks—current production systems and next-generation platform build—correctly identifying which track incoming requests belong to, and ensuring operational lessons feed back into documentation and forward-looking design.
- Own change management, enablement, and adoption for process changes, including stakeholder impact assessment, readiness planning, training materials, and post-launch verification. Define and report process performance metrics.
- Hold and maintain documented agreements at shared boundaries with peer Business Process Leads, ensuring handoffs between value streams are explicitly agreed rather than assumed.
- Own capability design for software provisioning and fulfillment—manual provisioning, error handling, feature enablement, suspension/reinstatement, and trial extension—partnering with operating teams.
- Own capability design for usage consumption and rating, including overage management and how rated usage flows into billing and revenue treatment.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and subscription billing mechanics, with demonstrated ability to reason independently through how mid-contract order changes flow to invoicing, revenue schedules, and unbilled/deferred revenue balances. This is a firm screening requirement given financial control responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience in business process design, business analysis, business architecture, or operations in a relevant domain.
- Demonstrated experience decomposing business capabilities into detailed, multi-level structures.
- Strong facilitation skills with cross-functional business stakeholders, including experience working at director level, and comfort holding formal cross-functional agreements with peer process owners.
- Experience translating business process requirements into system requirements or work items for technical delivery teams, along with strong documentation habits.
Preferred qualifications include: experience with contract modification accounting in subscription businesses; billing operations, collections, or revenue accounting process design; consumption or usage-based billing and rating models; software provisioning, license entitlement, or feature enablement process ownership; indirect tax process design; partnering with shared platform engineering teams on roadmap sequencing; and experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced, RightRev, Oracle/NetSuite, or indirect tax engines like OneSource or CertifyTax.
