Savvy is a Series B fintech company reinventing wealth management for independent financial advisors. The company operates as a registered investment advisor (RIA) that provides advisors with a modern, AI-native platform, eliminating manual workflows and enabling advisors to service 50% more households while saving 19 hours weekly.
As Business Operations Manager, you will own day-to-day operations for Savvy's broker-dealer, ensuring seamless execution, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance. This is a foundational role building operational functions from scratch as the company scales trade volume.
Key responsibilities span three areas:
Brokerage Operations: Build and run the end-to-end operational workflow across the brokerage lifecycle, from trade setup through settlement. Establish monitoring processes for post-trade activity, create workflows for error investigation and correction, build corporate action communication frameworks, and develop quality-control review processes. You'll identify opportunities to deploy AI tools and agentic workflows to automate reconciliation, exception detection, and error resolution.
Account & Cashiering Operations: Design and run workflows for reviewing, approving, and processing client money movement requests (domestic and international transfers). Build monitoring processes to flag anomalous activity, establish repeatable deposit management processes, create new account setup exception triage procedures, and maintain account restrictions across systems. Leverage AI and automation to streamline approval workflows and enhance anomaly detection.
Legal & Compliance Operations: Support the Legal & Compliance team with FINRA and audit requests, prepare client complaint and resolution reports, and explore AI-driven tools to reduce manual effort in reporting and audit preparation.
Required: 3-5 years in investment banking, consulting, or fintech startups. High attention to detail, strong process orientation, ability to build SOPs and controls from scratch, cross-functional collaboration skills, and comfort with AI/automation tools. Experience at high-growth fintech or building operations functions from the ground up is essential.
Nice-to-have: Prior experience at introducing broker-dealers or clearing firms (Fidelity NFS, Pershing, Apex), cashiering operations knowledge, trade lifecycle familiarity, FINRA/SEC compliance reporting understanding, and relevant securities licenses (SIE, Series 4, 53).
