Roofstock is seeking a Business Operations Manager to serve as a strategic bridge between finance, product, engineering, and operations. This role sits at the center of complex, cross-functional work and is responsible for translating strategic and financial plans into clear operational targets, driving execution, and creating visibility into performance outcomes.
Key responsibilities include: translating company-level financial plans into actionable operational targets and success metrics; supporting annual and quarterly planning processes by connecting strategy, budgets, and execution plans; building business cases and analyses to support leadership decision-making; leading and managing complex cross-functional initiatives from discovery through execution and measurement; partnering with Product and Engineering on initiative discovery, rollout planning, and post-launch impact analysis; developing, tracking, and reporting KPIs to monitor performance against plan; creating visibility into plan-to-actual performance and identifying root causes of deviations; establishing clear operating cadences, documentation, and accountability mechanisms; and improving existing processes or building new ones to drive consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in business operations, strategy and operations, management consulting, finance, or similar analytical and execution-focused roles. Required skills include leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, comfort working with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams, high ownership and accountability, and strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence without direct authority. Experience in high-growth, technology-enabled, or operationally complex environments is preferred. Real estate, fintech, or marketplace experience is a plus but not required.
