This Business Operations Manager role owns high-impact, loosely-defined strategic projects that shape the company's future. You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team on new trade launches, acquisitions, pricing strategies, and new lines of business—taking each from conception through operational execution.
Key responsibilities include: owning special projects end-to-end from feasibility assessment through launch; building business cases with market sizing and financial modeling; evaluating and executing acquisitions and new business lines; conducting primary research with contractors and internal teams to understand trades before modeling; converting one-off projects into repeatable playbooks; and presenting clear recommendations to leadership. As the business matures, you'll transition into running a P&L as a General Manager.
The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in investment banking, management consulting, or similar analytical roles. You should have a top-tier undergraduate degree with strong academics, first-principles thinking, excellent verbal communication skills, and real quantitative ability (financial modeling, Excel, data analysis). You need something you've personally owned end-to-end, not just advised on, and a bias toward action—preferring 80% right on Tuesday over 100% right next month.
Nice-to-have skills include SQL or hands-on analytics, M&A/diligence/corp dev experience, and background in construction, real estate, industrials, or marketplaces. The company emphasizes competitive, top-of-market compensation and a fast-moving team that owns outcomes.
