Axial Networks is a fintech platform transforming private-company M&A by connecting private equity firms, corporate acquirers, investment banks, and business owners. Founded in 2009 and based in NYC, Axial serves over 10,000 participants and facilitated more than 12,500 deals in 2025, making it a category-defining player in the SMB M&A market. This Business Operations Manager role is a senior individual-contributor position reporting to the Business Operations Lead. You will drive operational excellence and scaling across Axial's go-to-market organization while building technical capabilities that make critical information accessible company-wide. Key responsibilities include: **Business Intelligence & Data Analysis**: Lead analytical work across the member lifecycle—target setting, territory design, campaign performance, productivity, and retention. Build dashboards, conduct deep spreadsheet analysis, and translate findings into clear business recommendations. **GTM Systems & Automation**: Design and maintain automations, integrations, and lightweight internal tools using n8n, Zapier, Clay, Google Apps Script, APIs, SQL, and AI-enabled development tools. Own workflows across Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, and related GTM platforms. **Offshore Team & External Resources Management**: Manage Axial's offshore operations team, consultants, and service providers. Set priorities, translate business needs into workstreams, review output, evaluate performance and cost-effectiveness, and continuously optimize whether work should be automated, simplified, outsourced, or eliminated. **Business Operations & GTM Strategy**: Partner with BizOps and GTM leaders on targeting, segmentation, campaign strategy, operating processes, goals, and team performance. Identify high-value opportunities, contribute to quarterly planning, and challenge the status quo with strong project recommendations. **Project Ownership**: Independently lead projects from scoping through implementation, adoption, and follow-through. Spend most time driving proactive quarterly priorities while balancing reactive requests, bringing larger or tradeoff-heavy work to weekly scoping discussions with clear recommendations. **Team Development**: Support junior teammates' development and effectiveness through mentoring, feedback, and knowledge-sharing. You will move fluidly between building automations, analyzing complex data, improving GTM systems, managing external resources, and helping leaders make better operating decisions. This is a highly hands-on role requiring comfort with Excel/Google Sheets, system configuration, lightweight technical solutions, and clear business communication. The ideal candidate combines exceptional analytical ability, technical curiosity, strong business acumen, resourcefulness, clear communication, and an unusually high standard of organization and reliability.
