As Business Operations Associate, you will join a small, high-performing team reporting to the Head of Business Operations. This early-career role is designed for an analytical generalist who wants to become an exceptional startup operator. You will gain broad exposure across finance, people operations, legal and compliance, vendor management, internal systems, and strategic projects.
Key responsibilities include: owning day-to-day operational workflows across finance, legal, HR, vendor management, and systems; building financial analyses, models, dashboards, and decision materials for leadership on budgeting, hiring, and strategic decisions; coordinating cross-functional projects from kickoff to completion; improving operational efficiency through process documentation and lightweight automation; managing core business systems (Notion, Justworks, Google Drive) with focus on accuracy and scalability; and taking ownership of high-priority, fast-moving projects with increasing independence.
The role is intentionally varied—in a single week you might build analysis for a leadership decision, coordinate a contract renewal, improve a workflow, prepare project updates, and drive cross-functional initiatives to completion. Success comes from combining structured thinking with excellent execution. You will begin with clearly scoped processes and components, with scope expanding as you demonstrate judgment, accuracy, and follow-through.
Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of full-time experience in strategy, finance, or operations at a fast-growing tech company (investment banking or management consulting also considered). You should have strong quantitative skills in Excel or Google Sheets, excellent written communication, exceptional organization and attention to detail, high agency and resourcefulness, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information. Experience in regulated industries, hardware, infrastructure, utilities, or government-adjacent work is a plus. Prior startup experience building operational processes or managing cross-functional projects is valued.
