Salary: CAD 71,400 - 105,660 / annual
Take-Two Interactive, a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment (including Rockstar Games, 2K, Private Division, and Zynga), is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join their data team in Toronto. You will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you will maintain and administer Tableau Server as a platform, build and optimize Tableau data sources (live connections and scheduled extracts) for high availability and rapid performance, and write, tune, and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from relational databases and cloud data warehouses. You will partner with business teams, product managers, and analysts to translate complex requirements into scalable BI solutions supporting strategic, tactical, and operational reporting. Your work will ensure intuitive and visually compelling user experiences.
You will conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities informing product and business decisions, define and enforce data visualization standards and naming conventions to ensure consistency across BI deliverables, and evaluate and implement emerging AI and NLP tools (including Amazon Q) to enhance self-service analytics and natural language querying. You will also maintain clear documentation for dashboards, data sources, and analytical processes to support knowledge sharing, onboarding, and audit readiness.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments, communicates data-driven insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and has a strong eye for dashboard design. You will work cross-functionally in an agile environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building BI solutions, preferably in Tableau
- 2+ years of Tableau Server/Online administration experience, including user and permissions management, site configuration, workbook publishing, extract scheduling, and performance optimization
- Solid SQL proficiency (intermediate to advanced) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across relational databases and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake)
- Experience conducting data analysis tasks including data cleaning, blending, aggregation, and root-cause investigation of data quality issues
- Strong communication skills with ability to present data-driven insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with business partners, data developers, and product teams in agile environments
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
- Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online Administration (2+ years, required)
- Figma or equivalent design/prototyping tool (required)
