Turnitin is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst / Analytics Engineer to bridge complex data infrastructure and actionable business strategy. You will provide day-to-day analytical support to Revenue Operations (RevOps), including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience leaders.
The company is undergoing an exciting transition, migrating data workflows from Alteryx to dbt. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of data engineering and business analysis—not simply building dashboards, but architecting robust data models in Redshift, orchestrating workflows via Dagster/Airflow, and translating technical outputs into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the migration of legacy Alteryx workflows to dbt, ensuring high-quality, documented, and tested data models that serve as a single source of truth
- Managing and monitoring data pipelines using Dagster or Airflow to ensure reliability and performance within the Redshift warehouse
- Acting as the primary liaison between technical data structures and non-technical leaders, translating complex data concepts into clear, ROI-focused insights
- Actively exploring and implementing AI/LLM capabilities to enhance data discovery and predictive modeling, collaborating with Product/Engineering to apply Machine Learning (Amazon SageMaker) to use cases like churn prediction and lead scoring
- Supporting high-impact RevOps initiatives such as Account Based Marketing (ABM) and Customer Health scoring by providing visibility into global KPIs via Tableau
You are a "technical translator" who can explain data concepts to Sales Directors in ways that directly impact their quota. You deliver not just data, but the "so what?"—the actionable insight. You stay current with LLM and generative AI trends and actively think about how to apply them to analytics workflows. You lead with curiosity, take ownership of code quality and architecture, and take pride in clean, maintainable solutions.
Turnitin is a 25+ year-old global education technology company serving over 16,000 academic institutions, publishers, and corporations across 185+ countries. The company offers a remote-first culture with a comprehensive benefits package and a mission to ensure the integrity of global education.
