Veremark, a remote-first HR tech scale-up, is hiring a Business & Data Analyst to support the consolidation of an acquired screening platform into their core product. You'll work within the M&A PMO's lean core team, reporting to the Program Director and collaborating with operations, HR, finance, product, and engineering leads.
The role is split between business analysis and hands-on data work. On the BA side, you'll map the acquired platform's workflows, candidate journeys, and client configurations; conduct gap analysis against Veremark's product using established playbook templates; maintain the migration plan and tracker; and document current and future-state processes with requirements and user stories. You'll also build and maintain an inventory of ATS/HRIS integrations, API consumers, and webhooks, track each client's migration status, help map products and pricing onto Veremark's model, and support Finance with billing reconciliation.
On the data side, you'll profile the acquired platform using SQL to understand volumes, usage by client, active vs. dormant accounts, and data quality. You'll help build field-level mappings between data models, test migrated data, run validation and reconciliation queries by cohort, log and chase data issues, maintain the migration dashboard, and prepare data for PMO reporting. You're encouraged to use AI tools to speed up work like summarizing legacy docs, drafting mappings, and data cleansing. You'll also pull usage and revenue data to help the PMO prioritize client migration order.
You'll provide data and client lists to Customer Success and Sales for migration communications, contribute progress and issues to the Program Director's weekly updates, and follow Compliance guidance on consent, data residency, and audit when handling migrated data.

**Requirements**
Must have:
- 2+ years as a business analyst, business systems analyst, or data analyst, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Experience on a platform migration, system implementation, or integration project as part of a team
- Solid SQL skills (joins, CTEs, aggregations); comfortable writing your own queries to profile and reconcile data
- Core BA skills: process mapping, gap analysis, data mapping, requirements and user stories, UAT
- Some experience building dashboards or reports in a BI tool (e.g., Looker, Metabase, Power BI)
- Curiosity about how systems fit together and confidence asking engineers about data models, APIs, and integrations
- Comfortable working to direction and a set playbook, and knowing when to flag an issue rather than guess
- Meticulous and organized with a strong eye for detail and data accuracy
- Clear communicator who can explain data to non-technical people
Nice to have:
- Exposure to pricing, contracts, or billing data
- Experience in background screening, HR tech, RegTech, or another regulated industry
- Familiarity with ATS/HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Bullhorn)
- Working knowledge of GDPR, data residency, and audit requirements
- Python for data cleansing and automation, or experience using AI tools to speed up analysis
- Previous exposure to an acquisition or post-merger integration
