As a Brokerage Operations Associate II on the New Accounts team, you will work as an individual contributor supporting accounts-related work across the full account lifecycle—onboarding, maintenance, updates, compliance-related cleanup, and recurring operational projects. You will partner with the New Accounts Principal Manager, owning recurring tasks and project work that strengthens team coverage.
Your week balances queue-driven tasks and recurring assignments with deep analytical work in spreadsheets, exports, and data analysis as team priorities evolve. You will interpret what needs attention, drive items to resolution, and partner on focused cleanup projects. The role is 100% distributed and remote, reporting to the Director of Operations.
Key responsibilities include: processing day-to-day accounts workflow throughout the account lifecycle (onboarding, maintenance, updates, closures); fully owning escheatment and abandoned property operations; owning monthly statement and trade confirmation review; executing legacy cleanup and data hygiene projects to meet CIP compliance requirements; working through spreadsheets and operational lists to identify issues and drive resolution; querying databases to identify and scope cleanup work and measure progress; supporting the New Accounts Principal Manager on larger cleanup initiatives; identifying repeatable processes from one-off projects and driving them into ongoing workflows; and collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and partner-facing teams to translate operational problems into actionable next steps.
Required qualifications: Active FINRA Series 7 registration; 3+ years of brokerage or financial services operations experience in new accounts, account maintenance, CIP/AML, escheatment, statement review, or related account operations; strong Excel or Google Sheets skills; understanding of databases, tables, and data connections for operational investigation; ability to work independently and interpret priorities; strong follow-through and ownership; excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail and reliability in a remote environment; exposure to AML frameworks, sanctions screening, or identity verification workflows; technical fluency in fintech environments (APIs, data terminology, system architecture); and bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
