Flexport is seeking a Branch Manager to lead and scale its Guadalajara operations hub. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing multimodal freight operations—ocean, air, trucking, and customs brokerage—while serving as the local site leader for the growing GDL office.
You will own execution across all operational modes, ensuring service levels, compliance, and efficiency. A key part of the role is leveraging deep relationships with major ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies, and customs brokers operating in Mexico to unlock better rates, capacity, and service reliability. You'll drive customer success by maintaining service quality, resolving issues, and building long-term client relationships.
Beyond operations, you'll be the face of Flexport in Guadalajara, representing the company with vendors, landlords, and external partners. You'll help shape the office's growth—from team structure to ways of working—as headcount and volume increase. A critical focus is championing automation and AI-driven tooling to eliminate manual, repetitive work across Mexico operations, working closely with Flexport's global automation initiatives.
You'll also manage day-to-day office administration, from vendor coordination to office logistics, and drive operational excellence by identifying and resolving bottlenecks across modes while working cross-functionally with global ops teams.
Required qualifications: 7+ years in a leadership role within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management. Deep, hands-on experience managing multimodal freight operations in Mexico (ocean, air, trucking, customs brokerage). Existing relationships with major carriers, airlines, trucking companies, and customs brokers in Mexico. An automation-first mindset and excitement about AI-driven tools. Strong leadership presence and credibility with external partners. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
