Salary: USD 60,000 - 70,000 / annual
ShipBob is seeking an Area Manager for Fulfillment Operations to lead warehouse operations at their North Aurora, Illinois facility. This is a people-first leadership role responsible for directly managing and developing a team of 30+ warehouse associates (both temporary and full-time employees) across multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, build, and develop a team of 30+ warehouse associates, providing coaching, accountability, and motivation toward performance goals
- Review weekly work forecasts and identify productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives
- Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure efficient shift operations while meeting all goals
- Own operational metric reporting including VCPO, UPH, OPH (Batch, Labelling, Pick, Pack), on-time receiving and shipping, merchant SLAs, and injury rates; identify improvement areas and implement solutions
- Ensure teams are properly trained on processes and procedures, understand metrics and performance goals, and have their needs addressed
- Develop Lead talent by providing necessary tools, training, and resources to meet standards
- Drive process improvement initiatives and maintain a safe work environment
- Foster employee engagement onsite and contribute to operational and cultural excellence
- Receive exposure across departments and shifts to diversify experience and understand all aspects of fulfillment and logistics operations
The role reports to the Operations Manager, Fulfillment Operations. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 4pm–12:30am.
